Privacy Policy

This describes what Agentcademy collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier. That is all we take from Google — not your contacts, not your Drive, not anything else.
- What you bought. Which courses you own, what you paid, the discount code used if any, and when. Payment card details never reach us — Stripe handles the card and tells us only whether the payment succeeded.
- How you are getting on. Which lectures you have watched and how far through each one you are, so you can pick up where you left off.
- What you write. Questions, discussion posts, and course reviews, together with your name and picture beside them.
- Basic technical logs. Server logs of requests, including IP address and browser, kept briefly for security and debugging.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not build an advertising profile of you.
Why we use it
- To give you access to the courses you bought or were given.
- To take payment and to issue refunds.
- To send you the emails the service needs to send: purchase receipts, refund confirmations, and a note when you are given access to something.
- To show your progress, your posts, and your reviews.
- To keep accounts secure and to investigate abuse or fraud.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, each doing one job:
- Google — sign-in.
- Stripe — payments and refunds.
- Amazon Web Services — where the database, course videos, and files live.
- Vercel — where the website runs.
- Resend — sending the emails described above.
Instructors can see who is enrolled on their own courses and the reviews and questions on them. They do not get your payment details.
These providers store data in the United States and elsewhere, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in.
Cookies and local storage
We keep a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in between visits, and Google sets its own cookies as part of the sign-in button. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
How long we keep it
Account and enrolment records are kept while your account exists. Records of payments and refunds are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account closes — a refunded purchase stays on file as evidence that the money moved and came back. Server logs are kept for a short period only.
Your choices
Write to hi@agentcademy.dev and you can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your account and personal data, subject to the financial records we are required to keep;
- remove a post or review you made.
We will come back to you within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, course videos are served through access-controlled links, and access to the production database is restricted. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.
Children
Agentcademy is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes meaningfully we will update this page and the date at the top, and note the change where you will see it.
